Did you know joy can be a choice? Our days may be filled with ups and downs, but we can choose to make the best of things. We can decide we are not going to get let a mistake, a hurtful phrase, or bad news define the next hours, days, or weeks.
Gratitude is a great way to pull yourself towards joy. I like to make a short gratitude list in the evenings, but it doesn't hurt to make a mental list during your day. Instead of thinking, I can't believe how cold it is. You can realize its finally time to be cozy, and it's soup, sweater, and fire weather.
It can be easy to be swept up in the frenetic pace of a day, and it can be hard to make room for joy and happiness. Our powerful minds can help us find the small spark of happiness in a difficult moment. Give yourself space and gratitude to draw your path positivity. The best part is you can always start fresh by choosing joy.
