I became a mom in late October of  2018, and it has shifted the way I look at the world in my many ways. For most of my life, I've battled perfectionism in one way or another. It controlled my thoughts, actions and the way I lived for many years. Through therapy and the love and support of my husband, I've worked through my struggles. It's still a daily battle to try not be be perfect and put pressure on myself, but I am able to tackle it by focusing on gratitude and the small joys of daily life. It's not always an easy battle, but I find calm in the small things, such as:  a good cup of coffee or my baby's smile.
